Poor Quality house at Lion Pride

We purchased a house at Lion Pride Village 3 in 2021 after a terrible experience with the sales agent. We then met with the sales manager who promised us a better experience thereafter so we went ahead and signed the contract.

Our house was supposed to be ready on the 15 Aug 23. When we went to see the house on the 5 Aug 23 we was shocked to see that the incorrect color scheme was used. We immediately phoned the sales manager who we were dealing with. He promised to look into it first thing on Monday morning. After confirming with the paperwork that the wrong color was used with met with the sales manager on the 9th of August at the house to go through the house. It was decided that they would change the cupboards to our color scheme.

We met again on the 23 Aug to sign the change order. We were promised a new timeline on the house which till today we still do not have. We were later informed that the new cupboards were ordered and the delivery will be the 7th of September. On the 9th of September 2023 we went again to see to meet with the Sales Manager and see the progress of the house. We were told that the kitchen cupboards are still incomplete and they are still busy with it. We picked up so many faults with the house and the quality of the house.

On the 16 Sept 2023 we told that house was ready for inspection. Our appointment was 13h00. What a shock that was because the house was very far from ready. The project manager did not do his check. I do not even think that he was ever at the property. We were told that before we do our inspection they will do a 99 point check to ensure that the house is ready.

The tiles in the ensuite is mismatched and not aligned correctly. The tile veins are in different directions which is not acceptable. The brick feature wall looks so bad in compare to what is shown in the show house. It actually looks nothing like what we bought. It looks like a little child had a go at it. The cupboards under the stairs case is not aligned properly. It's high on one side and low on the opposite side. Most of the floor tile grout is out and untidy throughout the house both upstairs and downstairs.

The new white corrected color scheme kitchen is an absolute nightmare. The vegetable rack is fitted in the wrong side of the island. Not what I saw and purchase. All the cupboards above the stove and where the extractor is to fix is a different design with poor workmanship. The spacing or alignment of the cupboards are all wrong. It looks so bad. The prep sink has black marks inside. Looks like it second hand or the Worker's were using it. The spice cupboard is loose and wobbly. There is no tile fix under the kitchen cupboards showing a hole. The cupboards in the scallery is not aligned and makes a noise when u open it. Very loose and wobbly. There is no switch cover for the dishwasher outlet. The kitchen looks nothing like the show house and what I signed and is expected to pay for.

Outside there are cracks on the house structure. The plastering and painting is so poor. There are alot of hole in the structure. The window sills are cracked with no cement under. The front entrance bricks have no cement. And looks absolutely pathetic. The walls around the house looks bad and they used broken bricks. There are missing wall bricks. The expansion pads are jutting out. We were told that they will file these down. The grass is burnt and has holes and missing patches of grass. The plumbing vents outside was a shock when we opened it. There were no cover on the pipes and alot of gravel inside the plumbing and the pipes are tied with wires. The awning as missing *****s. These are just some things that we picked up and I'm sure with there will definitely be more.

We were suppose to move in in August but because of the color mess up we had to extend our current lease. The only thing that was done from the 9th of Aug from when we picked up the wrong color scheme till today is the installing of the correct color scheme cupboards. It took them over a month to install and still it is not done correctly. We are not signing any paperwork until the house is like the show house and what we saw are expected to pay for. Our lease is till end of September we were told that we can move in after the inspection. I cannot understand how we be called to inspect the house in this condition.

I'm very disappointed in the service that we are getting or absolutely lack of service and all the promises and no action from management at central development.

This is our home and we can not except and expect to pay a bond for this poor quality house.
