Mould problems in a new development house

I bought a newly built home from Cosmopolitan Projects, expecting a safe and good-quality home for my family. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing.

I have been living in the house for less than five months, yet I have already experienced several problems with the property. The most serious issue is persistent mould, which has been reported to Cosmopolitan Projects several times.

Cosmopolitan has sent people to inspect the problem on more than one occasion, but the issue has still not been properly resolved. During two of the visits, I was told that the mould could be caused by me not opening my windows enough and that I should keep the windows open all the time.

What concerns me is that a moisture test was done and the reading was 18.5. Instead of simply being told that I need to keep my windows open, I expected a proper investigation into the source of the moisture and a permanent solution to the mould problem.

The situation has become very serious for my family. The mould is affecting our ability to comfortably use our bedrooms, and we have stopped using them because we struggle to breathe at night. This is a new home, and I did not expect to experience a problem of this nature so soon after moving in.

Unfortunately, the mould is not the only issue I have experienced with this house. There are several other defects and problems that have occurred since I moved in, despite the property being a new development.

I am extremely disappointed with the way these issues have been handled. Sending different people to inspect the problem without actually identifying and fixing the underlying cause is not a satisfactory solution.

At this stage, based on my experience, I cannot recommend Cosmopolitan Projects to anyone looking to purchase a new home. Buying a house is one of the biggest investments a person can make, and I expected proper work , quality and after-sales support. I am posting this review because I want Cosmopolitan Projects to take the matter seriously, investigate the underlying cause of the moisture and mould, and provide a permanent solution.
