INTERIM INTEREST
Dear Hello Peter
It is with great disappointment that i am writting this review. I recently bought a house through cosmopolitan project, yhe bond was registered in November and the hoise was handed over to me on the 20 February 2021.
Bear in mind that the house was initially suppose to be handed over in December 2020. On the day the hand over was done a certain gentleman by the name of Edward Ntate was responsible for conducting the handover.
On the day the handover was done,the house had no water running in order to check if all taps were fully functional and if there were no leaks etc. Until i had to buy water at a later stage and check by myself if there were no faults.
Secondly i asked him about the interim interest that i have been paying for the past few months, of who was responsible for the cost?..........he had no answer for me, all that he said was that he would call me the next monday to give me an update.
On that very same monday he gave me a call, as per his promise but the call was based on him getting my email address, no update on the interim interest issue...bear in mind i have probably paid more or less R15000 towards this interim interest all in all if im not mistaken.
A week later i called him directly since he provided me with his business card, to find out how far is he with my query. Guess what? instead of giving me an update he gives me a contact number thag i need to call and ask to speak to a lady by the name if Isalina. Up until this day its been very difficult to get hold of Isaline, ive requested for her direct line as well as an email address, but according to company policies they cannot provide me with any of that.
Im not sure if this how Cosmpolitian operates, but all i need is to be refunded my money?......oh and another thinv my agent has vanished in thin air, havent heard from her and i cant even get hold of her.

This is Isalina. I am sorry our sales personal were not able to assist you with your bond repayment interest query. As with all companies various divisions have specialized expertize. While our sales team have an excellent understanding of processes, not all would be au fait with the specifics of your bondholder policies on your transaction. Billing by the bank instituition on your home loan account would need to have been referred to our bank team.
Interim interest on your transaction, specific to your bond, is paid by Cosmopolitan on key hand over. Your bank is aware of this and must have been an error on their debit order activation systems. Interim interest which is debited to the home loand account is deducted from our last payment by the bank upon you receiving house keys. This is not due or payable by you.
I am surprised at your statement that you were not able to receive my main line, direct line, email or general email for all client queries. I will be in touch with you to get the names of the people who could not provide my details. It is not company policy not to give this info. Our contact details for our client service division, of which number is direct to me as well as email address is on our website. I encourage all clients to refer to this prior to posting their frustration on Hello Peter since, the Client Service is your best option for help.
