Disappointed Mom of 3 who's forced to move back home with parents

Evening everyone,i am the most unhappy client to date.I bought a house with Cosmopolitan projects 7 years ago .my stay in the house was an unpleasant one in the first few months.my yards started seeping water from the ground as seasons changed I lodged a complaint at the Offices and people came to assess and dug up around the back of the house and left it like that few days later I called they came back to closed the hole then a few months later I noticed a sink whole near my kitchen all the way to the back yard and again I called the guys that came told me to get someone to make a runnoff for the water to go outside my yard which did not make any sense.a year later serious cracks showed on the walls and the tilling in the house started to lift off I complained and asked for help but no one from Cosmopolitan came to my aid I have since moved back home still paying for the house which I can't live in its it such a bad state I get calls from the neighbours saying I should do something they are afraid for their lives the house is now in a vandalised state and I have 3 kids that I hoped to build a home for but the situation has not been resolved until now hope someone else won't place their trust in this company it has failed me on so many levels.

Dear Ms Mpati

We have managed to track your stand in Stretford and have made contact with you. We have done our initial investigation of the stand via our quality controller. Unfortunately this report did not give much information specific regards to your complaint of water in the yard.

Our director has received the report and requested and engineer report on your property.

We will give you feedback within the course of the week.

Kind regards

Dear Client

Our *** Stret

Summary Problem:
You vacated the house due to excessive water "ponding" in you yard.

Our Finding:
After our investigation  by qualified engineer,  this is not due to ground water on the property.
After key hand over to you, a boundry wall was built around the property. This wall was not built by Cosmopolitan. This wall has no "weep holes" at the base line. Weep holes are specific placed "gaps" at the base of the wall so that in heavy wet weather, water can be channeled through these, out of the yard. With your initial complaints of water in the yard several years ago, we had advised you to have weep holes inserted in your wall. This was never done.

To add to the ponding, the position of the stand in the road is such that water will "run" into the property, as your house is on a bend. This is due to inadequate draining by council in your road. We have historically taken this up with council, but since we are not the rate payer we did not have sucess. We urge you as the propery owner to request that drainage be placed outside your house.

Finally,  the house next door to you has a fully paved yard. In rain weather, water in this yard cannot drain through the paving, but instead seeps through the boundry wall into your property, adding to the ponding agian.

Action & Solution:
We had met with you at our offices. As agreed we attended to 'ground shaping" on your property, to correct the damage on ground surface due to the ponding. We have assisted to build in the weep holes for drainage in wet weather. We have assisted  to refit the windows and external doors which were damanged/****** when the property was standing vacant. We had attended these remedies over the rain season so that we can see the effectiveness of these actions.  We have sent you photos of the works.
Since December we have had several communications back and forth for another meeting and/or viewing of the property since.

Unfortunately you were not able to attend three sheduled meetings since December.  We have waited for you viewing and confirmation that you find the interventions satisfactory. We will still wait for your final viewing.

As for the Hallo Peter post, we close this file.

We hope when you do go to view the works done, you will find it suitable to re-occupy your property.

Kind regards
Isalina Barreto
