Developer wont pay vacant land rates charged from COJ
Bought a new development house in Lion Pride Lifestyle Estate and officially moved in June 2021. I have since received my COJ statement and it states i owe R9000+ inclusive of Vacant land rates charged. The developer (Cosmopolitan) does not want to take responsibility for the vacant land rates erroneously charged and fix the issue. I am aware that im liable to pay residential rates charged, but certainly not liable to pay for vacant land rates. Now im bombarded by calls from so called attorneys because COJ has handed me over for my account being in arrears. Cosmopolitan Projects must just do what's write and fix my billing to ensure COJ is charging correctly.
