Deeply Disappointed with Sky City Cosmopolitan Projects
I moved into Sky City in February 2024 — a development sold as a “world-class mega-project.” Sadly, what I’ve experienced is far from that.
Since moving in, electricity outages have become the norm. Adding to the frustration, we are forced to use Surf4Life fiber, which is constantly offline and completely unreliable. It's unacceptable in this day and age.
I’m also questioning why we’re paying full municipal levies and a home bond when our electricity appears to be connected to the Palmridge grid — a system known to service multiple informal dwellings per connection. How is this justifiable for homeowners?
Yard flooding is another issue. Whenever it rains, the yards flood so badly that we’re forced to use a single entrance. It’s inconvenient, unsafe, and shows clear failures in drainage planning.
What’s worse? Requests for assistance go unanswered — the waiting time is endless. It feels like once the sale is done, the developer washes their hands of you.
To anyone considering buying in Sky City: My sincere advice — run. Far and fast. This development is not what it promises to be. I regret investing here.

Most of the drainage has been resolved, but I do raise that we ensure all concluded.
Our site operations GM will be giving me feedback on the Surf4Life instance.
