Quality:
Please qualify 'not made of quality'
Our houses are financed by all the banks and approved by the NHBRC. We are financed because we build solid houses. We do accept that there is not perfection.
A house is not an item that comes off a production line made by machines in a factory.
Any house by any developer, will have minor construction issues at any given time (new/or second hand).
While this is frustrating for the home owner, it does not equal bad quality.
Council IssuesWhen experiencing frustration or inconvenience related to your local council (as in your case being your municipal account and interrupted water supply), we see the trend that some clients will blame the developer.
There is no logic to this approach. We are not able to resolve all issues that fall outside our scope.
You must direct your complaint to the correct business.
To say we have not paid the municipal fees is incorrect. Nobody can have a property transferred from their name to a new owner unless their account is paid up (rates clearance certificate).
However there are errors and adjustments needed to be finalized at council on 1700 Sky City accounts. Council is in process of adjusting thousands of rands of billings of Sky City accounts. M
May I suggest you find out if your account is one of the 1700 accounts being corrected. Please attend at council to resolve your account. Please insist at council that they explain their billing to you. Do not accept being diverted to the developer. It is not the developer billing you. We cannot correct, adjust your account.
Regards the lack of water at Pocket 1, late yesterday and today: Again a council issue. It speaks to logic that if an entire block is without water, it will be a main line issue. Diverting your dissatisfaction to the developer will not help to bring the problems being experienced to the attention of the council. Council must be aware and accountable, so that for the years to come, you will not be frustrated with the same issues once the developer has completed construction and left site.
Finally, we have been made aware by our on site client service manager of the water issue early this morning.
To assist to resolve, our Project Management has sent our own internal plumbers to identify the problem and reach the council plumbing team.
Even if we identify the problem, we cannot tamper on the council water line. It is *******. However we do our best to get in touch with the correct people at council to help/or get explicit clearance to assist.
As I write this post, I have received notification that water has been restored.
Kind regards
