Cosmopolitan project Cosmo City
Feedback Regarding Cosmopolitan house. I received a call from them on the 09/03/21.I requested to be contact again after 15 minutes but did not receive any call. Later on, received feedback via hello peter that the matter will be attended to and will get a respond on the 10/03/21.Ill be waiting for the call. We have not signed anything and are not planning to until the matter is resolved. We want the house we bought as it is on the plan Period.

I understand that our team leader on your transaction did speak to you yesterday after my contact. I received final feedback on your transation yesterday evening at 5pm.
Unfortunately as has been explained we will not be able to accommodate per the original plan.
Council Building Plans division approved the original plan as was presented to you. Once our houses are at a specific construction status, 70% and above, the council building inspector is called to site to investigate we comply with all safety and municipal requirements so that we may receive the Occupancy Certificate. This is the legal document allowing for occupation of a residence. Without this in place there will be no municipal services to the house (water, electricity, refuse and sewer services).
We were advised by the building inspector he is not in agreement with the approved plan. We have been developing homes for 30 years, this being a first instance where we were presented with the senior inspector of council not being in agreement with the council plans division.
We immediately did several consultations with plans division, inspector, legal consultation and architects. The building inspector holds firm on his decision. There is no way we can override the inspector.
Eleven houses were affected in relation to "overhang" on the boundary line. We have had to breakdown all structures that the inspector has declined and rebuild per his requirement.
I understand this has been conveyed to you in detail.
Unfortunately per your request above, we will not be able to revert to the original approved plan. The inspector supercedes.
Our project management and operations manager has last night requested we meet with you on site and discuss a way forward that is acceptable not withstanding that we are not able to provide your house per the original plan.
The team leader on your transaction will be in contact with you and/or the main applicant to set up the meeting.
