Buying a house is an investment but not when you are buying it from Cosmopolitan Projects!

After almost 2 years of buying a house with Cosmopolitan Projects we still cannot find peace! Not only did we have issues with the house when we first moved in 2018 with issues varying from sewage blockage, malfunctioning door handles, taps, cracks and electricity that was wired incorrectly resulting to damages of electrical appliances we are yet again victims of Cosmopolitan Projects!

Cosmopolitan has just had a space which was zoned as a community facility rezoned into into house stands. With this new development comes a huge inconvenience to us one that will make us suffer a huge financial loss that they do not even care to consider!

After we moved in we approached the municipality to seek permission to design a garden outside our yard and we were advised that we are welcome to do however we should avoid permanent structures and excessive digging as there are water pipes which we might damage and based on that approval we proceeded to design a garden. We were also informed by the municipality that the open space by our house is zoned as a community facility and handed over a map thereof.

Cosmopolitan is refusing to compansate us yet they need to destroy our garden in order to access water pipes. Cosmopolitan and I are equal entities in this matter, I bought a piece of land in a municipal space and Cosmopolitan did so too, I acknowledge the conditions on my tittle deed of 1 metre servitude to the municipality for water pipes & sewage and we communicated from the get go that we object and fully understand the need for them to dig up however what I am not understanding is suffering loss and damage as a result of their new decision to re zone- one that was made AFTER we have altered our garden and even consulted the council about before doing. I am not in any way refusing cosmopolitan to access pipes from our meter however all I am requesting is to be compansated accordingly for. The loss we are about to incur.

Instead of finding a solution that will be fair to all parties about this Cosmopolitan decided to send one of their employees to come ambush and THREATEN us! We were told that we would be made "uncomfortable" and that a their constructors will be sent to forcefully destroy our garden. Every time this Mathys guy comes here he calls us names!

Added to the financial loss we are about to incur is massive disruptions! Construction trucks are out here making noise from as early as 7am while some of us are working from home and have meetings throughout the day. Their earth moving equipment shakes our house horribly such that you can proper feel like windows are about to fall off! Our house is sustaining new cracks as a result of this thing! How on earth do you use a huge stamping machine literally less than 1 metre from someone else's house?

To be honest we regret buying this house from Cosmopolitan and I regret convincing some of my family members and friends to buy too! Organisational principles go a long way and right now I am questioning them living up to their principles. 20yrs is truly a long time here given the situation.
