Bad advise
Katlego is her name, made me sign bank documents and submitted to bank without clarifying bond repayments and costs. When I asked to cancel request of application she said we can downgrade to lesser square metre house or space, still not disclosing bond repayment amount, cancellation of the application was on the 27th of September 2024. Today when I checked with the credit bureau as I couldn’t qualify for a small credit I found out that there is a bond in my name pending registration meaning I cannot apply for any bond soon, as I intended to as of next week for a new development starting end of January. Spoke to FNB they advised that Cosmopolitan lawyers are the ones that need to NTU the application. As of now it means I cannot apply for a small credit that I needed because of selfishness of cosmopolitan Agent, who just wanted to make a sale of the year. Can someone urgently help, I have all the videos and correspondences of when the Lady agent was wrongfully advising me, can NCR or credit bureau ombudsman come in and urgently remove my name of their lease as this will affect the application I will need to put through by end of next week, as we are expecting a baby and we need a house or an apartment to live in.

However for purpose of transparency, and fair assessment of this review by the public for information purposes.;
A bond application process for purchasing a home, is a completely transparent process governed by the laws of the NCA.
There are so many checks and confirmations directly with the client receiving the home loan - firstly via the bank that grants the bond approval, then by the bond originator, the admin team and the client themself accepting the terms of approval (installment, interest rate, loan term etc)
While I am sure it will be a quick resolution and investigation on Monday, I put for clarity on your complaint :
Conveyancing attorneys nor banks or the seller (Cosmopolitan Projects) are able to get as far as your transaction seems to be (already at attorney legal conveyancing document stage) without your awareness, formal written disclosure per bank with quote of your approved interest rate, installment, insurances etc.
We cannot hold the sales agent accountable since this info is given to all clients first and foremost by the bank granting the loan.

Reason i started recording or conversation which can be made available is because she made me sign said this is a pre approval phase, “this is not final approval” mind you I am a first time buyer. She was to submit back figures to the bank for clarification, instead sent this a final application for project to proceed without my approval of what she made me sign, and reason i signed was to avoid going to the sales offices as per your agent, you may defend your agent in this case, however i promise you she has no leg to stand on.
I will await to hear from your team, i didn’t want to take this any further, but your response here not willing to take responsibility, I will gladly do so. Talk to your lawyers first thing to NTU this by COB. This was not even supposed to have reached to stages it did as cancellation was the same day.
