A huge disapointment! Sigh!

It has been a very torturous and unpleasant experience of buying and finally taking occupancy of our new house at Leopards Rest, exactly 12 months after we signed the sales agreement (this is after we were sold the idea that construction would begin in the later months of 2017 and we were told we would move in by February 2018). I wont begin to mention the sort of excuses i was force-fed each time i sought and demanded reasons for the delays. Many will relate hahahaha! Fast forward to 14 August 2018, we finally got the keys to our new home. This joyous and exciting feat would soon be shortlived...

From blocked drains (our en-suit shower smells of mold which is a serious health harzard and my wife has not been well since we moved in) to semi-cold baths (geyser is dysfunctional) to mention a few, this is the nightmare we are living to date.

...we made a tick list of items to be attended in 3days at the house handover. I have also made a subsequent submission of 'emergency complaint form' with additional dysfunctional items to Mathys Basson, also 'to be attended in 3days maximum'. Guess what... Empty promises are the order of the day.

Can someone do something about this already. My wife has been on flu meds and allergy meds to no avail. I am taking my wife to see the doctor and if this is related to the mold, i am sure as h#ll going to take cosmopolitan projects to the cleaners.

Now to give more details of poor workmanship and things to watch out for before signing the happy letter: - The use of building sand/cement instead of grout for tiles. - Slow trickling water into the toilet cistern (you have to wait 30min before your next flush). - Electrical db connections (geyser switch connected with lounge power points) you cant switch off the geyser without switching off the lounge plugs. - I am waiting for the rainy season but it looks like i will need to complete another complaint form (story of my life), this is after i opened the trap door to check if geyser plug is switched on and voila! the roof tiles completely unsealed it is as clear as day light with light glaring into the ceiling void through every one of the roof tile joints. This cant be right!
