3 weeks into buying a house and I am told to fix it myself - Leopard's Rest
I have a minor but irritating reoccurring problem at a property I recently took occupation of at Leopard's Rest in Albertsdaal 3 weeks ago. The property has a prepaid meter for electricity and this keypad has for the 2nd time switched off even though the house has electricity and as a result I have no way of knowing how much credit remains or even recharge the account. I went to the office at the complex to ask for assistance and the manager there Mathys I think told me to open the grey minisub station in the street and check the wiring myself - mind you I am no electrician- and anyway I if someone finds me tinkering there I will get a fine. I am currently flying blind and I have been there for only 3 weeks and have been responded to like I a ***** when seeking assistance. Please escalate this to the right people who are willing to assist

Thank you for the post. Unfortunately it seems you were not advised correctly of logging such a fault. We are not aware of communications done on site. It is impossible for us to administer effectively.
Our process required that you complete out "Fault In Warrenty" form which you should have received with your key hand over pack three weeks ago.
This you would have sent to the division nominated on the form. This ensures your problem is logged and a team despatched to contact and attend your problem.
However, our contractors have closed for the year. I will try to despatch an electrician to you. Kindly expect my call tomorrow am.
Kind regards

I sincerely apologize for not contacting you.
Unfortunately we were confronted with a major issue on one of our sites where several families were left with no electricity at all, (in the dark) due to administrative issues at City Power. We are still in process of resolving this. Unfortunately this is my highest priority.
Cosmopolitan has already closed on the 14th December for the Construction Shutdown Season. The few staff staying on a few extra days must channel our energy effectively to ensure major issues are resolved.
As you have said your issue is a "a minor but irritating reoccurring problem at a property" . While it was not my intention not to keep my word and all clients are equally valued I had to ensure these families are not left stranded, in the dark over the festive season.
I have send a request through to our standby electrical team to ask their assistance. I will text you in the morning from my private phone as to what we can do.
This is a energy issue which seems to be faulty equipment issued from Swartkoppies energy department close to you. If I cannot reach someone to help you, this would be the correct place to assist you. You may have to go in to the Energy Depot at Swartkoppies to report the issue. This depot is very close to your area. However this is plan B. I will let you know either way.
KInd regards
