Who needs customer care, when people can just sit on the floor?

On the 24th of April we purchased a couch online and completed payment. The websites states delivery will take place in approximately 8 weeks. On the 26th of April I received a call from coricraft saying that delivery would take place in 6-12 weeks, which is more than I expected but fine. Mid June I receive a call saying that the coach would be done soon and that we could expect delivery near the end of June but that this would be arranged once the item is in Johannesburg. This call never happened.. So I started calling the call center, everyone is nice but everyone is also completely unhelpful, most of the time people just say the item is incomplete and that they'd call back. No one ever calls back. I was in one instance told the item would be completed by the 9th of July and that it would then take a few days to make its way to Jhb, and on the 9th I received an email stating that the item is complete. When I called today(21 July, 12.5 weeks after making the order and paying) I was told that the item is not complete. What in the ****. This is getting ridiculous. I understand these are unprecedented times but the item was supposed to have been complete 4.5 weeks ago. If we assume that the couch will take another 2 weeks to get to Johannesburg and into my living room I'll have waited 15 weeks! Near twice the originally agreed upon duration! On top of all of this, I understand that people get ill and things fall behind but is it really too much to ask for someone to send an email stating that? How can a business possibly function this way?

Some people may have good experiences with coricraft - and that's why we decided to purchase from them. Our experience however, has been nothing short of terrible.
