When taking money is better then giving it back

I bought pillows last year may 2018 and then I returned a few later as I had bought too many for my small couch, they said they have no cash in hand and gave me a refund slip, this is coricraft Brooklyn mall, I was told to come on weekends as they don’t carry cash except then but every time I go they insist they don’t have. They asked if I have a credit card and I said no and told me to wait for a call and I kept waiting and waiting and then the lady that was helping was somehow not responding to my emails anymore, I was then given another lady who promised to email me and she did then when I respond she would take forever to respond and now says she forgot what refund it’s about , as we speak this is going to almost a year of them owing me R696 and when I go they don’t have money, when I email they somehow lost my details and I still have the refund slip.

Am so upset because I wanted a table and this store shoes no kindness and they care pretty much little or not at all about their clients. Please help as am really frustrated now.
