very bad service
On the 27th of November I went to shop for dinner chairs at Coricraft the Glen. The chairs I was looking for were 30% off but on arrival, i informed that they were sold out. I decided to go to Mall of the south because the guy that assisted me was not really looking for clients. I went to Mall of the south and were assisted by Andre. We were told the same story about the chairs but then we saw others that we liked and he offered us a discount 5% discount which I thought was great because he was keen to win us over as clients. My husband and I made a payment for 6 dinner chairs and requested for a scotchgard to be put on the chairs however agreed with Andre that we will pay the scotch guard money on collection of the chairs. I was told that the chairs will arrive on December 3rd and i will receive a phone call. A week later there was no phone call from Andre so I decide to call the store on the 5th. A lady answered asking me for my cell number. I was not happy with that cos I thought she should have asked for my name. Anyway she then asked me to stay on the line. I got cut off and she rang me back only to tell me that her manager says I was supposed to pay the scotchgard money first then the order would be placed. She further said that the truck that brings orders to the store will only deliver orders Next month (January). I was not happy with that because that is not what Andre and I agreed on. I was further told that Andre forgot to place my order. She said Andre will call me back which he then did but that didn’t change anything because I dint like what he said. He told me that life happens so he forgot about what we agreed on and forgot to place my order. He kept on repeating these words whilst I told him that I’m not happy with the provided service. He then said “what do you want me to do” really! , do I have to tell the store how to fix a problem. In spite of me telling him that I want the chairs ordered as agree that didn’t help and it surely did not happen. He told me to pay the scotchgard money then the order would be placed. This was 7 days later if I didn’t call he wouldn’t have come back to me. I refused to pay that balance because there was no surety that I will get the chairs at the right time. I honestly and truly disagree with what he told me. I know that in customer service it’s not what you say but how you say it. The manner in which this was said is definitely not customer service. Forgetting to place an order tells me my business is not needed. I wanted to have the chairs by the 10th of December but neh!. He apologized later but really! When I requested for my money back I was told that I have to complete a form and it will take about 48 hours for the refund to take place when the order was not placed in the first place but one must still wait that long after an unprofessional customer service. Please teach your employees what customer service is. The fact that I moved from one branch to the other means I wanted to support your business but it’s clear that customer service doesn’t exist in your store. All I ask now is that you don’t keep me waiting for my refund. I cannot beg to be given service when I am paying for the product discount or not.
