Terrible service from Coricraft Springfield.
I purchased a couch in October and paid in full, including delivery. As of 20 December, I still have not received my order. I was only informed on 30 November, after going to the store myself that the couch had been damaged in transit on November 14th. There was no proactive communication from the store at all. Had I not followed up, I would not have known. To try resolve the issue, I agreed to an alternative couch from another branch, despite it being of lower fabric quality than what I originally paid for. Even after this compromise, I am still being given the runaround, with indications that delivery will only happen after Christmas, which is completely unacceptable. For the prices Coricraft charges, this level of service is disappointing and unfair!
We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us.
We sincerely apologise for the frustration and inconvenience you experienced during your purchase journey with us. We fully understand how disappointing it is to wait for an order that was paid for in full, particularly when expectations around delivery and communication were not met.
We acknowledge that the lack of proactive communication regarding the damage to your original couch in transit was unacceptable, and we regret that this was only discovered once you followed up in store. This is not the level of service we strive to provide.
When it became evident that the originally selected fabric was discontinued and that production timelines would not allow for delivery before Christmas, our team worked to explore alternative solutions, including a loan unit and sourcing available stock from other branches. We appreciate that these options did not fully meet your needs, and we recognise the disappointment this caused.
We are glad that a suitable resolution was ultimately reached, with you electing to collect an alternative couch from our Richards Bay branch. As discussed, your delivery fee will be refunded as part of this resolution.
Your feedback has been shared with the relevant teams, as it highlights important areas where we need to improve particularly around communication and expectation management. We truly appreciate your patience and the opportunity to resolve this matter, and we hope that you enjoy your new couch.

Ruth
