******* furniture at an exorbitant prices and poor customer service!

In 2015 we bought a 3 and 2 division of the Breen leather couches. A few months later cracks started to form on the front panels of the couches. We contacted Coricraft with the issue. An assessor came out to view the couch and said that there was nothing wrong. We have been covering our couches with blankets to prevent the cracking from getting worse but to no avail. The matter was then left.

Recently an ink mark was found on one of the seat panels. We called Coricraft first thing as their website does not give tips to helping in such a situation. We were then given an email address of a lady which we then have been in contact with since the ink incident on Monday. She took hours to let us know what was happening and only rep**** once we had emailed her again.

During the waiting period we went to the Clearance Centre to fill our back cushions, which we did not know we were able to do at no cost until researching their website in an attempt to find a solution to our ink problem.

At the Clearance Centre we were shocked and devasted to see 3 Breen couches there with no cracking as found with ours. We asked the ladies working there about the couches and they informed us the couches are from show rooms across the city and the leather may be discontinued and that could be why they have the couches.

A different lady phoned us yesterday with the price to fix one panel and a collection and delivery cost which is R10.00 cheaper than the actual panel and labour fee together. We were shocked and asked if there is anything else we can do with regards to collection and delivery since we were told it would be a one day job. We even offered that they fix the panel at our home. They could bring along their compressors and anything else they may require. The lady said she would call me back to let me know. Almost 24 hours later and we are still waiting for her to call.

We have sent all our correspondence to a new email address we were given from the initial lady and are trying very patiently to wait for a response. We know the longer the stain sets, the harder it is for it to be removed. 3 days so far and counting. It seems as if our problem is just being passed around from one person to the next.

This is whole situation made us inspect our other Coricraft furniture. Two Coco chairs, foam sagging. The Breen's foam is dipping in the centre of the 2 cushions.

It it is unfortunate that after months of looking for furniture, finally finding what we liked and thought was quality we have come to the realisation that Coricraft is nothing but a name. There is little to no correspondence when bringing something to their attention, their assessors are of no help at all and will not listen to your concerns because we do not know the business, if we do not follow up nothing will be done of the situation and it will just be swept under the rug in the hopes that the customer just drops the incident.

So for about R60000.00 we have blanket covered leather couches, flat statement chairs and no help or advice from Coricraft. Devastated that our hard earned money has been flushed down the drain. Yet another example of a big company robbing the little guy...

We apologise for the delayed response to your complaint, We will charge you only for the panel and a very reduced labour fee. I will have a look at the leather and see what the cause of the cracking could be.

We don't guarantee leather as we cant guarantee the conditions it is subjected to but we will do our best to return your couch in the best possible condition. Please send me the photographs of your Coco chairs as discussed so that I can see the problem with the foam . My email address is below .

Kind regards,

Olga de Pinho
