Powderpost Beetle Infected furniture

<p>I purchased 6 St Tropez dining chairs from Coricraft in 2016. I noticed that one part of one chair has a powderpost beetle infection. Note, only one chair has this infection. I phone Coricraft and have to deal with a secretary who can only relay a message from her manager who seems unable to be bothered to speak to their clients. I am informed that this is impossible as their furniture is fumigated and the infestation must be in my house! Now how exactly does an infestation occur in only a small part of one chair in a house full of furniture? If this were true then ALL the furniture would be infected. I have removed the piece that is infected (yes it is just a small part of the arm of the chair) and I have treated it. This company in a high-handed manner simply dismisses my query and blames me for the problem. The manager does not even bother to offer to inspect the furniture. Poor service, poor customer relations and frankly poor service. BTW my house gets fumigated every year. My research shows that this beetle only enters newly harvested wood. I have purchased two lounge suites, chairs and other decor items from this company. Never again. How simple would it have been to in good faith at least inspect the chair and even consider replacing the infected part?</p>
