Payment not allocated to my invoice

Dear whom this may concern.

I made two purchases at the centurion branch on the 28 May 2016.

Firstly for tv cabinet, bed and two bed cabinets and a desk this was processed on my RCS card worth R32k and then the shop assistant didn't add the mirror we wanted onto the order so I made another purchases on my RCS card of R2695.

Then during the week after the purchases I received a phone call from Cori Craft to tell me that I need to pay R2695 before they will be able to make delivery after I few conversation they agree to make delivery without the mirror worth R2695 on the 25 June 2016.

As I paid for the mirror on my RCS card I made payment on the 24 June 2016 for an amount of R2695 on my account.

When I phoned Cori Craft to arrange delivery they told me that I still have an amount owing of R2695. The Cori Craft help desk told me that they will arrange for the centurion branch manager to phone me back. After me phoning them twice I NEVER received a phone call back.

On the 6 July 2016 I went to the centurion branch to speak to the manager, the manager at the centurion branch Warren is on leave so I had to speak to a lady that is standing in for him.

I told her that I made a purchases on the 28 May 2016 and that paid this with my RCS card. I opened my RCS statement to show her that the purchases was reflecting on my statement.

She didn’t even try to listen to what I was telling her about the payment. She went on to explain to me that I need to pay the mirror as it is like a deposit I have to pay it. Then went on to explain basic accounting concepts. At this stage I was just trying to get her to listen to me for 10 seconds and get her to understand that the payment was made on my RCS card and I owe Cori Craft nothing.

She told me that I have my fact incorrect and that I am not understanding her. My mother was with me in the shop she told her to listen to what she is saying, I feel this is very disrespectful as I am the client and not my mother.

She didn't even try to listen to what I was telling her. The payment was processed on my RCS card and not allocated to the invoice on their system.

So firstly if the shop did a reconciliation at the end of the business day they would have pick up that the payments made were more than the sales, thus that my payment wasn't allocate to my invoice.

She explained to me that I am incorrect and should make payment to Cori Craft this would have resulted in me paying twice for the same item????

After a 30 min discussion she finally listen and inspected the statement I was showing her with the purchases on for the mirror on the 28 May 2016 reflecting on my RCS statement. And then only agreed that the purchases wasn’t allocated to my invoice.

She didn’t even once apologies for the inconvenience nor said goodbye. She was very irritated and didn’t even try to understand. I had to tell her that I have a degree in accounting so she didn’t need to explain the basic accounting concepts to me. If she just listen to what I was telling her she could have resolved the situation very quickly.

I don't think it is the client responsibility to pick up that the invoice was already paid and that this wasn't processed on the system. This should have been pick up at the end of the day when a reconciliation is performed between the sales for the day and payments made.

On top of everything when I tried to log an complaint with Cori Craft they drop the call. This happend twice.

This wasn't my mistake and the mirror should have been delivered on the 25 June 2016. I don't think this is the way to treat clients at all.
