paying cash doesn't pay

Last year, having moved to a new house, we treated ourselves to new furniture. My husband is a very tall man and we found the perfect recliner at Corricraft. I chose a different model plus 2 tables, had the leather stainproofed for a total bill of R26,750. We paid half up front with the balance to be paid after we had inspected the goods. We paid the balance on the 9th of June 2014. We thought for a cash sale there would be free delivery but not. They used a 3rd party who had to be paid. Cash or Pensioner's discount? No? The mechanism of my recliner is very stiff and in June or July 2014 went to the store to complain. How galling to see a sign offering 6 months interest free to those buying on credit! I have crippling arthritis in my fingers and couldn't manage the lever. Our details were taken and are still on their system but no feedback. On the 30thSeptember this year we went back as my husbands chair is very short of padding on the arm rests and his bony 80 year old elbows are resting on the wooden frame. Pretty shoddy for a R10,000 chair. Our details were taken again and Willem put it in his diary and promised to personally follow it up. A month has passed and no response! !
