No Regard to the Consumer Protection Act

Ordering from Coricraft was one of my worst mistakes, and I’ve made many of those before. Needless to say, I won’t be ordering from them again.

They have no regard to the Consumer Protection Act. I bought a couch on 24 April 2022, which was marketed as being in stock (and ready for delivery). Once I’d made the payment, because I needed a couch urgently, a customer representative called the following day to say it would take 8 weeks to get the couch. (The product description said delivery would be within 10 working days. You don’t need advance maths to figure out that’s nowhere close to 8 weeks).

I pushed back on this because this meant their website’s marketing only sought to bait consumers. The same couch is still being marketed as such, as of 26 April 2022.

If I’d been okay waiting 8 weeks for a couch, I would have considered other items on their catalogue, or other/better furniture stores.

The customer representatives have been mildly helpful — so I guess the one star rating covers that fairly.

TL;DR: Avoid Coricraft unless you enjoy being treated unfairly as a consumer.
