Lodge Corner Couch - Terrible Manufacturing

Good Day

I tried to post a message on Coricrafts Facebook page yesterday - 19th July, to urgently contact me. I was notified by a pop up screen, that my post will be reviewed before or if it is allowed to be shared on Coricraft's page.

On Thursday 20th July I attached my post as comment to one of their posts, as I was still waiting for a reply.

On day three 21st July, still nothing!!!!

I have now resorted to using your social media platfor, hoping someone will actually contact me.

This is my full story........

I bought a Lodge couch on the 1st of April 2017 on order no: T53683 from your Fourways Crossing Branch.

I called the branch to follow up on my orders status and was advise it was ready for delivery, that was great but thanks for the notification that my order was complete as it had been ready days before I called. I asked for your banking details to pay the balance to do an EFT and send the POP via email but was informed that I must come into the store in order for them to arrange delivery. I enquired the reason being as to why they only accepted payment in the store, the reply was as they need proof I had paid, isn’t that what the email with the POP is for?

I decided to by passed the Fourways store as they were adamant that was the only option to settle my balance and called your Accounts/Logistics department and spoke to a lady called Cloudett (so helpful) who was able to assist me with my payment and schedule delivery the following day.

This was the first hurdle I had to deal with not know what problems I was to incur going forward.

The couch was delivered on Friday 19th May 2017 but a quality control check had obviously not been done, as it arrived with pulled threads and with staples all over the sides to secure the upholstered material together.

I went into your branch the following day to sort out the problem and was told to by the store manager to email the Fourways branch explaining the situation ********** I wonder why it was so difficult for your store representative to assist me and send an email to the correct person on my behalf and cc me on it….was shocked at the lack of service and apologies which I received none of.

I kept my comments to myself and dutifully sent an email with pictures to prove the extremely bad workmanship of the couch that I was advise would take 4 – 6 weeks to complete, however I waited 7 weeks for it to be manufactured. To this date I still have yet to receive an email/call back regarding the sent email.

I have spent hours on the phone, speaking to numerous people to sort out the problem but no further then I was when this all started, as it has been over 2 ½ months since delivery. Every time I call, I have to explain the problem from the beginning and get told they will call me back, even had people promise they would do so and no one calls.

I was dealing with a lady called Busi last week and was informed it would take 2 weeks to fix my couch, when can she arrange collection. That’s great I was one step closer but what am I meant to sit on for 14 days as I got rid of my previous couch when the new couch was delivered. She said she would sort out a loan couch for me from the Fourways showroom for the interim while the couch is being fixed, also promised she would call me on Monday with feedback. It is now Wednesday and still no call……

I called the Fourways branch this morning. I asked to speak to the warehouse manager, who was not available and was informed that there was nobody else to help me in the warehouse who could help me. Funny how a whole warehouse with multiple branches across Gauteng is run/functions with one human, I then asked to speak to the second person in charge and was put on hold. I then got offered to take a message as the line was busy and she will get them to call me back, I politely declined as this will never happen and said I would like to hold. She then came back for a second time and I asked to hold again and got the attitude that it was too much of an effort to transfer my call and she hang up!

This being the last straw I have taken matters into my own hands again, I have lost all patience and would like this resolved. Due to lack of urgency, customer service and ability to think outside the box to assist your customers, cause once payment is received why must Coricraft bother to offer their customers after sales support. Please arrange one of the following, I would either like a temporary couch as offered to use while mine is being fix for 2 weeks or you can order me a new Lodge couch and you can collect the defected one when the new one is ready for delivery.

I await your urgent feedback once again.
