Good staff leave Good employment only because of BAD MANAGERS

Maybe if your attention is drawn by an outsider of your business you might take this serious as it seems your management team from area managers upwards are covering things up so some serious problems don’t land on your desk. It’s time the “big bosses” gets involved at ground level of their businesses with the staff, the people who first of all are the backbone of your business.

Could the managing director of Coricraft group Kevin Utian PLEASE tell me, how many times can a store "manager" be reprimanded, have discussion, get warnings for a variety of problems in the store, from customer complaints (and there are many) to poor management financially and of staff. It seems every time there's a problem it gets sorted very quick by the area manager so not to let to many people at head office know about serioul problems. When Coricraft HR gets involved also turns out to be a quick talk and maybe a discussion with the manager and sometimes a warning. Everything goes well for a week or two but then again all goes back to the same way it used to be.

Mr Utian you need to realise, GOOD people only leave good employment because of BAD managers

I have been in retail for 30 years, being a manager with Edcon and Woolworths groups, I know what it takes to be a good manager, I was one. There is a manager in your company that is definitely NOT the standard I am sure you are looking for in you group. I think a much more in-depth look must be taken into applications and the background of them. Directors should realise being a good manager means:

Good managerial s****s

Good communication s****s

Good customer and staff relations

Positive personal outlook on life

GOOD BUSINESS ETHICS !!!

A manager’s lack in this can assure you your store will NOT perform which is the case in this instance where ALL the staff is so unhappy and nothing gets done. They now rather keep quiet knowing nothing gets done and because of victimisation. The staffs gets told by HR to lay grievances, but then the info gets send to the same manager who is the problem and victimisation begin and continues. Your staff in this specific store is demotivated, despondent, negative, sad and I can tell you they are ALL looking for other employment ONLY because of this manager nothing else. Unfortunately they all need the income and have to stay until they find other employment, and they are GOOD people I know because I go to the store often.

PLEASE take this seriously .
