DISAPPOINTING QUALITY OF FURNITURE - DEFECTIVE TERRY LEATHER COUCHES

Very disappointed in the quality of furniture from Coricraft. We ordered a Terry Leather Corner Couch late last year however it has defects. It makes a pronounced squeaky noise when you sit on it, more especially on the right side when facing the couch.

The sound is made worse with any body movement whilst sitting on it. The squeaky noise is equally on the left side of the couch. Deep right corner of couch literally sinks in upon sitting deep into the couch.

The right arm rest makes the same squeaky noise when pressed upon so does the left arm rest though not as pronounced as the right one. The right arm has some broken protruding piece of wood within it which is so visible.

The assessor came and made remarks which were contradicting and confusing, however, the assessor agrees to the above defects. His suggested solution is to take the couch for repairs; - Put some cushioning between the legs and frame to absorb squeaky noises - Have the springs pulled and tightened to reduce squeaky noises and restore firmness - Have the tensioner replaced to aid with firmness - Have the right arm replaced

The concerns are as follows: - This is a brand new couch bought from ‘reputable’ Coricraft and only sat on by two working adults (mostly in the evenings) over only a period of about six months has to taken in for repairs?? - Cushioning between the legs which is not the original manufacturer's design. - Replacement of one arm means a different hyde will be used which will result in a mismatch - Why insist that the couch is to be repaired yet part of it is to be replaced (confusing) - How did it pass the Quality Check inspection to be begin with? - In addition, we overlooked the fact that the hyde was damaged when delivered and had a hole but clearly this should have been the first red flag that the couch is a defect!!!

Asked the Assessor if he was aware of the defective batch of arms on the Terry Leather couches and he said NO which is very concerning considering his the Assessor for Coricraft.

In addition, the ETR if the couch is taken in for repair and part replacement of the arm is 10 days which is UNACCEPTABLE. This couch is new yet defective now we have to go without a couch for a third of the month! #LUDICROUS

Reviewer Update
I had an issue with a Defective and Poor Quality Terry Couch and i posted reviews on here regarding the Defective Terry Leather Couch. After some back and forth, Coricraft insisted that they will repair the couch and restore it to the quality is should be. We waited 2 weeks and after the couch was returned, one of the major defects was still not fixed.

I received a video from Olga showing how the factory reset looked, however the 360 video only showed what the couch looked like. There was no attempt to show that the pronounced squeaky noise when you sit on it on the right side was no longer there. The squeaky sound is still very pronounced and prevalent proving that they were unable to fix the issue but still returned the couch anyway.

What's weird is that Coricraft is trying to imply that this might be a normal "spring sound", however, why would a spring sound be loud on a newly repaired couch? Secondly, the other couch does not have the same sound - so why is the squeaky sound only audible on the initial couch that was defective?

I raised this issue with Olga and the feedback i'm getting is time wasting and time consuming because she is now requesting for me to record an audio of the squeaky sound. Why didn't she record the audio during the quality testing and assurance? I requested for Olga to come and view and test the couch herself, however now she is insisting on a recorded audio and also advising that she is looking at availability of Botha (assuming that's the Quality Inspector).

What baffles me is that Olga sent the 360 video herself and advised that she's inspected the couch herself, therefore is she wasn't fully qualified to inspect the couch to begin with why didn't Botha do it?

Coricraft, this is a very pathetic service and it's disappointing to see that you are selling SUBPAR defective furniture. You sell me a "NEW" but defective couch, only to insist on repairing it. You collect it for two weeks and yet you FAIR TO REPAIR and return it knowing that you have not fixed it.

This is RIDICULOUS and i believe this is a TIME WASTING EXERCISE!!!
