Coricraft's unacceptable business ethics
I am very disgusted at Coricraft's lack of business ethic. They have advertised a couch in a certain colour at a certain price. When browsing their samples live in the shop, it is clear that the picture of the adverti*****t shows the Everest Clay colour in their adverti*****t of R7995. I requested the couch in the colour exactly as advertised, but I was informed that that colour (advertised@R7995) goes for R12 000! ******! The R7995 is only for colours X, Y and Z (not the advertised colour). I was taken aback about this. How can they advertise a certain colour, and then only state that the price goes with colours different to the advertised? I negotiated with them, and stated that I was drawn to the couch's colour as advertised and want to buy that colour specifically. Coricraft agreed to have the couch made for me in the colour as advertised. So I ordered it. They tried to convince me that the colour in the picture is \Columbian Spice". Which it is DEFINITELY not! Coricraft went ahead and made the couch in Columbian Spice. When the couch arrived"
The advertising was clear, we entertained your request because we wanted your business. We made the couch with a customisation to the inside back and cushions which you insisted on .All this with zero deposit in the colour that was photographed Columbian Spice . This was confirmed with the photographer .We had the couch sent to our showroom for you to view which is not normal practice .You did not like the colour even though the leather was a specified and confirmed with the photographer
We offered to make you another in the Everest leather at the same price without the customisation . This was not acceptable to you . We feel that we have tried to assist you and gone above and beyond.
