Coricraft, no after sales support

02 November 2020, My wife and I found a couch to furnish our new home with, we were happy with the initial service and timeous communication from the sales staff, We parted with R40 000 for our couch and patiently awaited delivery to turn our house into a home. We took delivery of our couch in December of 2020, and were happy with what was supp****. With the couch being Leather, and the monetary value of the product, we were sure to take good care of it, so that it could benefit us for many years to come. So after a year of owning the couch, it came time to give the leather a treatment and contacted their recommended service provider (Cabana Enterprises) to do the treatment. We were ready to proceed with the treatment, and prior to doing so, noted some stitching coming loose on the couch back cushions, this was surprising as this area is not subject to much wear, or contact when using the couch and these loose threads appeared on multiple of the couch cushions. So in order to avoid the risk of a service provider agitating the issue, we attempted to get Coricraft to repair the stitching as we are covered under the 2 year warranty. Here is where all attempts to remedy the issue have failed. We attempted multiple walk ins to report the issue, our details was always taken down by the floor staff, at both Tokai branch where we initially purchased the couch, and the Tablebay branch, which is close to our new home. We were informed that “someone” would contact us. This process went on and on without this “someone” ever contacting us. To my disadvantage I only started a paper trail of proof to attempt repair, after 18months of ownership, where I first contacted the Coricraft WhatsApp number (+***) with literally no response [8 August], to this day not even a blue tick. This frustration started escalating, so the 10th August 2022, I once again did an in-store visit and was asked to send the pictures to *** which I did in-store and awaited confirmation that the email was received on their end, and was informed once again that “someone” would contact me. I was a bit delusional as I let some time past with no response or resolution. I then went back to the store on the 14th October 2022, resubmitted the email and waited and this time they loaded on the system a customer complaint/concern which I watched them populated and was once again informed that “someone” will be in contact with me. November 2022 I went and highlighted my concern that to date I have not received a single response from “someone”, I was told that there was a software upgrade and the complaint information may have gotten dropped, even though when they check the system, my previously lodged complaint was present. I was told that they would escalate it to with the branch manager and once again “someone” should make contact with me, if not the next day (Friday) then the Monday. It is the 15 December 2022 almost 2 calendar years since taking possession of my couch, and my couch stitching is in dismay, the leather untreated, and all at the poor after sales service received from Coricraft. My plea is that “someone” will contact me, repair my initial concern (stitching) which I am covered under the warranty as my complaint/query was lodged well within the 2 year window, even though unresolved and I my faith in Coricraft would only be restored on successful fulfillment of their warranty. I also think it would only be fair that a once off couch treatment be provided to savor the relationship.
