Coricraft - home delivery limitations

I bought 2 sofas from Coricraft, Design Quarter. When I went in today to pay the balance owing the sales assistant (Prudence - who dealt with me on 9 December 2020)) they now says they do not deliver to an apartment on the 4th floor if the sofas do not fit into the lift. There is a wide staircase with large floor landings and intermediate landings. My husband had to take measurements and photos of the staircase, the landings and the lift dimensions, and thenWhatsApp me while I waited in the store. This took an hour and a half. Now they say they will 'try' and deliver on Tuesday. We are elderly. There is no way we can lug the sofas into the apartment. I was never informed at the outset, there is no signage in the store nor such policies on the bill of sale. on the invoice. This is a furniture store. They are in the business of delivering furniture to people's homes and offices. WE paid R 745.00 for delivery. In total, This was an expensive order. Has anyone else had this experience? I am tempted to cancel the sale!
