Coricraft dont care about customers after purchasing

The service I recieved from Coricraft Canal Walk is horrible. I bought a couch from Coricraft last year and it was duly delivered in December. However, the quality of the couch is not at the level pitched to me, and that I personally examined at the shop. Since January I have tried to have Coricraft send someone to assess the product. To my dismay, weeks passed without communication from Coricraft, and on the 5th February, I called to find out about the matter, and was told that the assessor for the region was unavailable as he was in Durban, and that my assessment would be rescheduled. I was surprised that it was a rescheduling as I was not aware of any initial scheduling. I was then offered the 21 February for assessment. However, I insisted on a closer date.

An assessor was sent for today. His arrogancence preceded his entrance to my property. He was shockingly unfriendly, failed to introduce himself and proceeded to enter our property even before we invited him in. When asked his name, he arrogantly said there was no need as the shop had already told us. He immediately proceeded to announce that he was going to 'educate' us - my partner and I - about leather couches. This was unneccessary and patronizing in the extreme. He tried unsuccesfully to show us that the collapsing cushions can be put back together, at which point we told him that a quality cushion cannot be adjusted everytime someone sits on it. In terms of the leather quality, he noted that natural leather tends to develop a rough texture. However, we challenged him on this point since we already know leather couches and that it was not the first time that we were seeing one. Further, the roughness on ours indicate that the entire couch surface would change and look old. Most importantly, it is not just the roughness but the couch is beginning to show signs of peeling off.

I am of the view that Coricraft does not take me seriously, firstly by failing to communicate matters clearly with us, and then making light of our unhapiness with its service by sending us a disrespectful assessor. Coricraft only sent acknowledgement of my complaint first week of April. The professionalism of Coricraft is overstated.

Dear Kefilwe,

We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us.

We are so sorry to hear about your experience with our assessor. We have escalated this report and it will be dealt with internally.

Following a thorough examination and feedback from our assessor, we have verified that the couch purchased by the customer was meticulously crafted to meet our standard quality specifications. It is imperative to note that the maintenance of the leather and cushioning should align with the guidelines stipulated in the accompanying care and guarantee document, a copy of which is enclosed for your perusal.

The selected leather type, Buffed aniline, is renowned for its distressed aesthetic, characterized by a mottled appearance. Such leather naturally exhibits distinct features including scars, scratches, tick bites, and variations in grain, all of which contribute to its inherent charm. Therefore, the presence of these characteristics on your couch is deemed normal and within expectations.
