Coricraft damages
I bought a couch from Coricraft in December 2017, the couch was delivered in February 2018.
On delivery day I was not home and I advised the delivery people (over the phone) to leave the couch with my neighbor, my neighbor told the Coricraft delivery people that he doesn’t have space.
After a new minutes I called the delivery people checking what action they took since there was no space at my neighbor’s house, the response was that “we left it on top of your vehicle”. I asked why and the response was “ because you said we should leave it there”.
I was furious and told them what on earth would make me say they should do that, the end of it was that they ended the call telling me I’m a ****.
When I got home around 19:00 the couch was indeed on top of my vehicle(bakkie) I got the couch off the vehicle and discovered that the tonneau cover was damaged.
The first response I got from Coricraft was from a gentleman in the warehouse who told me they won’t be attending to anything I say and that their delivery guys didn’t do anything wrong, the second was from a fellow who claimed to be an assistant manager and told me the damage is not Coricraft’s problem.
On taking up this issues with Coricraft I was referred to a number of people who gave me a run around, I spoke to Melody who advised me that their warehouse will call me.
This complaint has been communicated with Coricraft since February and I have making follow ups with Coricraft only to be told somebody will contact me.
The latest feedback which I received from Coricraft via their store manager after I made noise, is that I will be contacted by the warehouse.
The response from the warehouse is that they will not be fixing the damage on my vehicle.
I sent Coricraft a quotation for the damage as per request from their store manager in Centurion branch.
All I want is for Coricraft to fix my vehicle and acknowledge that their delivery staff were wrong, because it makes no sense that a couch will be l day on top of a vehicle.
I asked some of Coricraft’s staff members if that’s how they deliver goods and the response has been no, now why am I receiving my goods in this fashion?
