Coricraft customers beware!

I purchased an item from Coricraft which I am somewhat satisfied with. What particularly attracted me to this item was their promise of 6 month interest free credit. I thus submitted a credit application. This application contains numerous sections, the last one is for completion and a card is issued to purchase the item. However before this, a pre agreement is provided by the credit provider, RCS. At no stage does the application form specify an amount requested for credit. My item cost R10,000. The pre agremeent contains no clauses but rather only amounts for a loan. This pre agremeent in its entirety consisted of an amount for R40,000 at 22.5% for 1 year. As I wanted 6 month interest free for R10,000, I queried this with the store, with RCS and with Coricraft customer care. They all tried to force me to sign this pre agreement even though this was not the amount, nor interest (interest free!) nor term that I wanted. The pre agreement states that it is valid for 5 days. I refused to sign this nonetheless at any stage thus never completed the application form nor was issued with a card. I ended up taking out an interest bearing loan (at better rates) for this R10,000. I am now purchasing a home and received my transunion credit report. On this, the full facility of R40,000 was on my report as a credit facility that I had entered into. I thus took it up with Coricraft, who have to date, not responded to any correspondence after 10 days. Their only reply to my daily emails is that it is an RCS issue even though I am their customer and my credit rating has been tarnished by this fictional facility. RCS in turn, have tried to justify their actions and have not at any point offered any hint of an apology nor acknowledgement of wrongdoing. RCS have admitted to me on the phone that a customer signed pre agreeement is a prerequisite for entering into a credit facility but refused to give me a reference number for the call and even though they advised that the call was recorded, have refused to date to provide the recording. Thus RCS and in turn Coricraft unilaterally provides you with credit terms and regardless of whether you accept or not, this will appear on your credit report and impact your credit rating and affordability criteria. How are unilateral terms with explicit refusal in accordance with the NCA? They could have provided me with terms of a R200,000 at 50% and even if I refused to sign this, would have still appeared on my credit report? I urge all potential Coricraft customers to be aware of this and avoid this company.
