Coricraft Clearance Centre Cape Town : Condescending and Patronising Manager

It is with great disappointment that write this email to the Coricraft Head Office for a customer services complaint. I had been to the Coricraft Clearance store in Cape Town Montague Gardens on Friday afternoon to purchase a bed, base and a few decorative items. I had returned to the store on Sunday morning to pick up my bed and base. I was assisted by a sales woman A***ea who was very pleasant and customer centric, however the woman who I informed was the manager, was just cold showing no signs of being customer focused. She did not smile or greet anyone on entry to the store, never displayed any signs of being customer centric even though she was at the front counter. Is this the new normal for Coricraft Management? Whilst in store waiting for someone to come forth with my bed and base, the “Manager” informs me that I will have to assist her in-store assistant to carry and load my bed and base. I did not have a problem to assist, as I understood it was a Sunday. As we carried the bed and base to the loading area, this manager informed the shop assistant who was assisting me that he must only load the base and base. I was very taken aback by her tone and her condescending mannerism as she informed the shop assistant of this, it was almost as if I was going to request the helper to load additional items. This woman had a very patronizing way about her from the time of my first interaction. After loading I went to pay for my additional items at the cash desk, when I spotted a framed mirror, but the frame was damaged and broken in two parts. I had previously seen this in the store a few weeks previous. I requested A***ea if the manager would be able to consider a reduction in price, considering this item was just standing in store not being sold because it was broken in two parts. Anthea then approached the manager to request for a reduction on this damaged stock, the manager coldly responded that she won’t consider any reduction, because it could be stuck, and it could lie broken in-store, it was not a problem By this response, I was totally put off, I paid for my items and left the store. As a manager and a person that’s responsible for the income of the store, should I rather have a broken item lie broken in a corner, or should I reduce price and have it sold, even though it was broken in two parts? Clearly this so called “Business Manager” has no customer centricity skills, and further it appears her business skills also needs to be questioned? I’m just a dissatisfied Coricraft Customer, and only bringing to the attention of Senior Management my experience and opinion in the matter, and trust it will make a difference so that another customer will not have a similar in-store experience.
