I purchased a U shaped couch from Coricraft delivered on 2 August 2024. From the first week the leather began to deteriorate, the dye fading, reflecting defects in colour (not variations as they would claim - a grey couch is in patches turning pink at certain angles and in others it is fading with a yellow tone)) indents in the couch where fabric is too loose amongst other problems such as the seats sinking in areas. It looks ten years old and shabby. I raised these issues in writing with management and the answer I got was that I should read through the care manual ( arrogantly assuming I hadn’t - which I in fact had). There was no interest on their part in seeing the problem with the couch let alone remedy the problem. Mention was made by them of exposure to sunlight. Whatever exculpatory terms they have in their guarantee documents to avoid responsibility for poor quality workmanship would not exempt them from accountability for defects, especially within 3 months of purchase. There is no term that requires their couches to be positioned in a darkened room or disclaimer that the couches cannot withstand daylight. I see now that there are multiple recent customer complaints with similar issues relating to colour and quality which were either ignored or the customer was blamed. It is alarming and disingenuous that they seek to blame customers for the defects in products that are weeks or months old. It is unfortunate that I didn’t see these reviews earlier but perhaps this review will save another unsuspecting customer from a similar fate and of having to engage in a protracted dispute to obtain redress.
