Broken table and broken service

When one buys furniture you do not go for the cheapest, you go for the more expensive as it is believed to last longer, well thats what my wife and I thought when buying furniture. In 2014 we bought R88 000.00 worth of furinture from Coricraft ONLY, as we did not want cheap furniture but rather furniture that will last, that can maybe one day be passed on to our son.

On 19/11/2017 our dining room table collapsed with the exact items on it as in the picture. The table has NEVER had someone dance on it, NEVER. We have always taken the best care of our furniture. If it broke where it was attached it would be understandable BUT the wood itself broke. Was it a bad batch or a cheaper wood? Either way Coricraft is making it my problem.

On 20/11/2017 I went to the store where we bought the furniture and was only told that there is nothing that can be done as it is out of warranty. Not even the manager offered any assistance.

VERY DISAPPOINTING.
