Abysmal customer service at Coricraft Wynberg clearance store

I've spent 50k on some couches, high back chairs and a carpet priced at R 2500 which was the contentious issue. Upon delivery to me, I've established that the carpet was severely damaged. The store manager ie David explicitly mentioned that he is doing me a favor by exchanging the item.

I of course was disgruntled by his approach since the item was damaged somewhere along the logistics process and not by myself.

When I got to Coricraft Wynberg to make the exchange, his general disposition changed for the worst as he screamed, shouted and almost got physical with me in front of customers who were disgusted by his level of conduct.

I refused to allow him to take advantage over me and retaliated with my exchange of words and stand point as he refused to facilitate the exchange.

This resorted in him calling security which was a tactical response unit with firearms. This was utterly unacceptable as i have not made any threats to him nor did i have any weapons at my disposal. Furthermore, my little kids and wife could of also been in danger with this unprofessional approach which left customers disgusted. I had no option but to leave the store.

Upon speaking to one of the reasonable security gentleman subsequently, he conceded that David [store manager] has frequent ultications with customers and always calls for their assistance, however he is the actual problem.

This is a really disappointing experience and some recourse has to be taken against David as the humiliation and potential dangers still leaves me and my family distraught 27/11/2023.
