3 months no couch and 3000 rands I will never recover again!

Coricroft ended up costing me 3k for absolutely nothing If you don’t want to lose you hard earned cash, I’d be weary from buying here

We were looking for a couch for our lounge for months, eventually we found the perfect one from coricroft canal walk cape town Several times we asked the sales guys there, if it will fit, we even sent them measurements and checked up on it many times This cost us money going to the store every time to get feedback, They assured us it will fit(people with this experience should know what will fit or not). Unfortunately it didn’t. Coricroft delivery team didn’t bother to even try to bring it up the stairs to. And the couch definitely fitted on the stair case. When we went back to the store, the sales guy at canal walk, says this always happens. They didn’t attempt to even try and see if it would have fitted

After many visits to the store again, they assured us they will sort it out by the weekend by hoisting it up, when the Friday came, conveniently the guy we dealt with, had not been in, we were told to come back on Tuesday, we came back on Tuesday and he is still not in. Then we had to deal with the manager, who was no help what so ever. He suggested we call the Coricroft themselves. Why did we even buy it from the store when the store manager directed us to someone else? How is this professional or fair? They just push difficult clients down a rabbit hole? Until they are so frustrated they give up! We were referred to 4 people and had to explain our case every time. So bottom line, they charged us for a 10 percentage handling fee. Apparently there are so custom they need to charge this fee, which makes no sense at all because other places do the exactly same thing and there is no handling fee. Choosing a fabric and side which way the L is going to face isn’t very must custom. Also we picked scotch guard for couches which we had to pay for and we had to cover the delivery, which was so unfair considering they never really attempted to even bring the couch up This company claimed 3k from us for absolutely no valid reason what so ever, they will eventually sell the same couch and charge someone else for the same handling fee and the same scotch guard. I will never step foot in this store again. If it this was so much inconvenience for getting the couch in my house, I can only manage if we received it and we had issues with this item, we would probably have to go to the head offices ourselves to get it fixed, or take it to their builders to get it rebuilt ourselves. Stop *****ing from people coricroft. 3 000 rands may not mean anything to you, but it’s a lot to me and a lot of other people in South Africa. As for the staff in canal walk coricroft, stop hiding behind “you have no control” excuse. I bought the couch for you, so you need to deal with me, not refer me to 10 other people in coricraft who I never had any interaction with. Terrible service from this store!
