poor service and communication for iPhone Repairs
if you are considering purchasing any apple device DONT DO IT. theyre quick to make the sale to you but as soon as you have an issue with your device they want to charge you an arm and a leg to fix. I have a iphone 6plus and the camera was faulty, i took it to istore in canal walk where after R200 and diagnostics indicating no error in hardware or software i was informed the camera had a recall on it so they would gladly send it to the repair centre at a cost of R250 to have replaced. 2 weeks later with very little support and communication from the core service group (the people responsible for servicing apple products in SA) the phone is returned to me. After about a day or two the i note that the wifi and bluetooth are turned on/off by itself. a few days later i would pick up my phone and it would be off i turned it on it would reboot and then work again. by week two after receiving my device from the repair centre the phone is now not charging fully stuck in reboot loop several times a day, hanging after entering my passcode. Note that I work a full time job and I'm not by the means to constantly run to the mall every time my device glitches. I've since returned the device and 1 week later am quoted in excess of 3k to have the phone repaired. I have asked for this to be escalated because 1. the phone was not faulty when it was sent for the camera to be repaired but since its return has been faulty and i wont pay for this device to be repaired because I am not at fault here. 2. I have since done some research and found on apple support group that several other people with other devices new and old have experienced the same problems and this speaks to the fact that it's an apple fault? 3. after escalating the matter i am given contact details for technical support that is not even in SA and cannot help me with the matter at hand. Clearly an *********** employee that doesn't know what's going on. I've spent the last two hours being rerouted by one telephone prompt to the other because apparently you cannot get hold of anyone telephonically everything is to be done by email. I am now beyond fed up with the pathetic support and service that is iStore/iPhone/coregroup you should add a disclaimer in your Ts ans Cs indicating that service support is pathetic and that no problems will be solved.
