cellphone assessment / repair dispute

I booked my unit in at the iStore in november 2016 for a faulty touch on my iPhone 6 plus, the unit was assessed and i was told to pay roughly R2400 / R2500 to repair the unit, i declined this offer and the unit was returned to the iStore canal walk.

I then collected my unit at thye end of January 2017, when my unit returned it was not able to power up or charge, it was not functional at all, i then mailed the core group stating that my unit was now not functioning at all and that it was funtional before it went in for assessment, i received a response saying that i should book the unit in again for assessment.

I rebooked the unit in June 2017 again as i was not able to do so prior as i had fallen ill and was not working prior to this time, i booked in the unit at the cavendish iStore and explained to the assistant that i had received the unit as "dead" from the repair centre.

The unit was again assessed and this time around a quote came in at R6100, more than double the last quote, i explained to them that the unit was functional before the first assessment and that it returned a dead unit and i just wanted my unit back in the condition in which it was sent in during November 2016.

Core did not haver any solution despite lots of follow ups from me and email proof stating that i informed them of the unit being dead when i picked it up. I was told that my quote had expired and they will be shipping it back to the iStore in claremont.

I made contact with apple directly, however because i didnt report the incident to them in january they were unable to assist and said its an issue for core to deal with, the core grou[p really does not want to take responsibility for this and i thinks its just wrong as i say again, there was an intermittent issue with my touch screen but the phone had full functionality, if i sent my unit in and declined a quote surely i would expect to get the unit back in the same condition as it was sent in.

My first repair quote is WF055865 and most recent was R291093

If i had dealt directly with apple it would have been sorted but core group just blatanly ignored my claim.
