Apple watch

My watch’s screen cracked right around the face without me even bumping it. I was driving in a car. When I sent it in they assured me that the crack is not due to a bump and it will be fixed for free since there is a default in the series. Now the repair service emailed me and said that the watch was impacted and I need to pay for everything. This is unacceptable since I have someone that saw everything happen and even the istore assured me that a watch can’t crack like that on impact.
