Made to pay for services not rendered = ******ion

Hello Peter I had been a customer to Cool Ideas for couple of years now. Upon moving houses end of July, on 01 August 2023 at 09:46AM, I called them to request cancelation of my contract with them as of 31 August 2023. I was told to send an email to *** za, which I did at 09:50 AM and also copied ***. At 09:52AM I received a ticket number (COOL-***) informing me that my request had been received and I will be updated when action is taken on my ticket. A day went by without receiving any communication from the above service provider to confirm my cancellation request. I then sent another email on 03 August 2023 at 22:57 to follow-up and there was never a response. On 10 August 2023, I called and emailed Cool Ideas numerous times until speaking to and emailing their employee Geodenah Mokoena who confirmed that they had my request and gave me an updated ticket (COOL -***). I was then assured that my service would be cancelled. However, I still didn't receive any email confirmation but trusted that since we had numerous conversations and emails, they will do what's necessary on their end. On 01/09/23 I was shocked to receive an invoice from Cool Ideas for the month of September. I quickly responded with an email reminding them of my cancellation request done beginning of August as the agreement is that you give them 1 month notice when canceling the connection contract. This was also follow-up with several calls from myself to Cool Ideas. I got sent from pillar to post. Seeing their almost non existent action to my request, I then instructed my bank to cancel the debit order as could forsee the danger of being charged for a service that I was no longer using, which by the way they did try to debit my account the month of Sept and October despite conversations and assurances I've been given by their employees who have contacted me in this regard- to "collect outstanding payments". Patiently, I've explained my case to each if these employees and get told they will cancel my contract asap. But, over the past 3 months I constantly find myself receiving calls and emails from Cool Ideas about my service being suspended and the outstanding amount. This has really been stressful for me. I just can't believe that at this point in time Fiber companies like Cool Ideas will continue to try milk out just about anything from their customers despite me being upfront with them when I cancelled the service and even paying for the month of Augut despite the fact that since end of July I was no longer using their service anymore. However, I understood for August that I hadn't given the required 1 month's notice. I find it really heartbreaking that they continue trying to ****** money from me at all angles. As it stands now, they insist that I owe them over R1400 which is I the months that I had canceled my contract. This is really devastating and is having a negative effect on my mental well-being as I've been working hard to maintain a clear credit record for myself.

Even if I can afford the services in the near future, Cool Ideas would never be a service provider of choice......The incompetence within their employ is resulting in me being pursued for money that I shouldn't be owing in the 1st place had my ticket request been followed through.
