Crisis Averted - The problem does not always lie with the ISP

So you normally only get all the negative reviews, but this happy ending deserves some recognition. We moved into a new house that already had a ONT installed. This was a major requirement for us as we work from home and stable internet is a must. The fiber provider is Frogfoot and one of my colleges recommended Cool Ideas as an ISP.

The fiber setup was a bit rocky by nothing major, and once we had our router set up after a week, we finally felt relieved. But the troubles had only started. We immediately noticed we we not getting the correct speed, but the real problem was that we were unable to access certain websites, specifically the ones we use for work. We did troubleshooting and logged calls and we felt like we were getting nowhere, until I was contacted by Gumani. One look and he guessed what my issue was. Incorrect MTU settings. And there I was convinced we were being affected by a content filter, and it was only a simple setting on my router that needed to be changed.

The speed issue persists, but that is most likely a Frogfoot issue. I am deliriously happy at the moment. I can finally work without relying on mobile data.
