COOL IDEAS - ABSOLUTE DISASTER!

We logged a call in about Dec 2019 because their FTTH data went down completely. By Feb 2020 we still had NO DATA & were buying extra data on our 4 phones + computers to keep our home running. We kept paying Cool Ideas the full monthly amount this whole time, despite not getting ANY DATA from them; not even for 1 day! The stories & endless Technician calls got exhausting! We were on a month-to-month (no contract), so we mailed them on 10th Feb 2020 saying we are no longer paying, as we are not receiving any data at all, & no closer to a fix. Endless calls to Accounts & endless emails later, the last person we spoke to in about April/May agreed that they were going to have to write off the supposed 1month's notice they thought we owed them! What a cheek after we had paid them for THREE months with ZERO data supply/usage!...in any event, we were happy the saga was over...or so we thought...until today, months later (Nov 2020) we get a rude call & a rude letter from a Debt Collector saying that Cool Ideas have handed us over for Collection!! Cool Ideas is an absolute disaster, and we will be lodging a counter claim with the Government's Consumer Protection Bureau for 3 months of overpayment, without a refund! If this doesn't get them to correct their repeated blunders, I'll be lodging a Claim in the Small Claims Court & listing their MD, whom according to Law, will have to appear in person!

Good day Faye

we are sorry to hear of this frustration

we are struggling to pick up any support tickets for the december period of your complaint, did you log them with us an do you have a support reference for your downtime in December.

the issue in February was link down due to damage to your cable by ******s as per the report from Openserve and when provided a solution the account holder declined due to additional costs for repair and preventative measures for the future. we have no control over wild animals unfortunately and the repair costs are implemented from Openserve the Fibre line provider and not us Cool Ideas the ISP.

please provide us the support ticket reference from the December period (of 3 months) so we can investigate further

the Cool Team
