BAD SERVICE WITH COOLIDEAS
Violating consumer's rights and showing no remorse at all. In have my account in order with this service provide and I paid my Dec bill on the 7th of December and sent the proof of payment. On Sunday 13th Morning my internet got suspended. I called to check what was the problem and I was told my service is suspended and I should wait until Monday morning.
I asked why is that and who will pay for the inconvenience and the damage I have sustained for not having internet? But the guy was just quiet on the phone. I called Monday morning and went through the account department. I asked them why is my service suspended and the lady said: "I don't know but we will reconnect you in 5min"
I asked so you received the payment? She answered, Yes. Do you guys realise this is against consumer's protection rights? we pay yet get penalised unfairly and when we query all we hear is "sorry" how does is fix the business I missed because I didn't have the internet? We cannot be in a situation whereby a service provider abuse the consumer and all they say is sorry and life goes on. But when a consumer has defaulted on payment, He is equally penalised. Cool Ideas should pay for the damages and unfair suspension of my service. It is very disgusting to have a service provider that treats customers in this manner. I am still taking this case further until someone is held accountable.
we apologize for the frustration experienced
we see that you usually pay via debit order (card) however the payment in question was done via EFT to our old banking details, we did send out notification in June that the bank details for the old method would be changing and that any payments to that account would not reflect accordingly. our system is set up that once the payment reflects in the correct account your service is reinstated.
we will request our accounts team to email you the correct details again to avoid any frustration in the future
once again apologies for the frustration experienced
