Appalling service (or rather lack thereof!)

I paid in full for an uncapped data service from Cool Ideas which for a week went down and I had to purchase data elsewhere. Cool Ideas are refusing to credit this amount (or even a pro rata amount for the week period they were down) stating that it was a Vumatel issue and they receive a 'best effort service' from Vumatel and thus cannot credit the amount.

What company promises you a service- which you pay for- and then when it can't supply you with the service you pay them for blames their own service provider?

To make matters worse I queried this with them for over 2 months, with no feedback from them after numerous follow ups, except for the shelving and disconnection of the account....

Appalling service...
