I use to be a customer of Cool Ideas for many year. So when we relocated I decided to remain loyal to them. I submitted a relocation request a month before we moved. I was informed that they would process the move. They did not indicate that there would be any costs associated with the move. After about a month my line stopped working and I thus lodged a ticket. They investigated this for a week to conclude that the ONT at our new residence hadn't been transferred to my name and that I now need to pay R2 500 ex Vat to enable the transfer.

I cancelled my subscription with Cool Ideas and got a new ISP that didn't charge me anything to enable my line.

I did not pay the notice period fee as no service was provided to me and no notice was given to me prior to my line stopped working.

Cool Ideas threatened me with blacklisting whereafter I lodged an official dispute as per their T & C's. They did acknowledge the dispute within 3 days as per their own T & C's, and only did so after I reminded them of this on day 5.

I have once again received a threating email and no further correspondence relating to the dispute.
