ContinentalTyres South Africa are quiter than their products

I had an unusual 'blow out' of a Crosscontact 265/65/R17 All terrain tyre during a trip between the Eastern Cape and Gauteng. The blow out was a straight line 'tear' from the tread to the rim.

The road was tarred but bumpy and my three passengers agree that no pothole was hit.

I have emailed Continental Tyres South Africa 4 times asking for any explanation (NO COMPENSATION REQUESTED) as to how/ what caused this as I travel regularly. (I have a photo of the tyre)

No response received.

I refuse to deal with the local Continental dealership (Best Drive) due to the managers attitude so asked for advice from another tyre dealership and the replies were possibly 1) a pothole or 2) a tyre defect.
