CONGRATULATIONS YOU ARE A WINNER - OH WAIT SORRY WE MADE A MISTAKE!!!

So Continental Tyre South Africa run a competition for the duration of the Le Tour de France where you can win a set of tyres.

I enter for the whole duration of the competition and then they publicly announce me as a winner!! As you can imagine I was so excited. I send my details as requested and await further contact. They thank me and say someone will be in contact

THEN.... they drop the bomb on me and say sorry, they made a mistake and I was a finalist and I didn’t win!!

There was no mention of this at all in the competition posts, it was simple, post a photo of the branding ➡️➡️➡️ win tyres!!!

So when I queried this they then try and shut me up and offer me a runners up prize...

Ummmmm no!! I entered for tyres, you announce me as a winner, I should be awarded the prize I entered for ???

They have my contact details and have not bothered to call and discuss this matter either, so terrible from such an huge, international brand!!
