Very poor service !!!!!!

There should not even be a star to rate them on that is how **** they are. We have been with Debt rescue for a couple of years to get out of debt. Beginning of this year they switched over to consumer friend to manage their accounts. We were to suppose to be done in my and our last payment was debited end of May. September I tried getting a clearance letter from Debt rescue and the advised there is an amount outstanding on RCS due to the *********** staff the system had an error and it did pull through the information. Its November and we cant get the outstanding amount settle at RCS keeps referring us to consumer friend and I cant get any help from consumer friend consultants. think this is bull**** that Im being inconvenienced for your 'system error' or employees lacking education.

Good day Natasha B

We refer to your complaint and wish to advise that our system indicates that our offices  for the first time, only received a debt review application (Form 17.1) on your behalf from the debt counsellor, Debt Rescue on 13.01.2020.

In response to the application, we responded on behalf of the creditors that we act on behalf of, with the relevant Certificates of Balances (COB's) including the Sold Debt Letter on the RCS account.

The RCS debt was never administered with our offices, as the debt was already sold prior to your debt review application to an agency called Real People.  Real People being the agency you should be liaising with regarding the account.  Kindly note that the Sold Debt Letter sent to your debt counsellor, Debt Rescue on 14.01.2020 from our offices, indicate the agency's details which include their contact numbers and email addresses for your convenience.

We will resend the Sold Debt Letter that was sent to your debt counsellor to yourself as well in order for you to get in touch with the said agency.

Best Regards
The Consumer Friend Team

Reviewer Update
Good Day , The information you provided me with is incorrect. I have phoned Real People and they have not record of the RCS account being sold over to them. So how can you debt my account for a service you didn't render. How can you send me statement of the amounts if this is not with you ?

Hi Natasha

As advised offline, the statement you are referring to from Consumer Friend is for your husbands RCS account which is still active under debt review and currently administered with Consumer Friend.  This is the reason Real People have no record of the account.

Your account is the one who is with Real People as this was sold prior to Consumer Friend receiving the debt review application from the debt counsellor in 2020.

The debt counsellor had sent through 2 separate debt review applications for both you and your husband on different occasions which you may query with them.

Kind Regards
The Consumer Friend Team
