Two Accounts Settled Under Debt Review, both handed over for 'non-payment'

I am at wits end with Consumer Friend. I am under debt review, and have been paying my creditors directly since 2015 due to my debt counselors being useless. I have two accounts now that have been settled that have been handed over due to 'non-payment'

I requested a settlement amount on my RCS account in July this year and was telephonically informed that it is R438.80, which I paid on the 28/07/2017. A few weeks ago I received an SMS from Easton Berry Attorneys that the account has been handed over for collection with an outstanding amount of just under R500. I phoned Easton Berry who referred me back to Consumer Friend, where I spoke to several people, none of whom seemed to be able to assist. Eventually I got hold of Simiso who works with the RCS accounts, after 2 emails I was informed by Simiso on Monday 18/12/17 that the settlement balance was supposed to be R698.80 and that I should pay an additional R260 to settle the account. I emailed back on the same day, requesting a copy of the telephonic conversation from July 2017 and a detailed statement, but has of yet not received any kind of reply. I find it strange that the outstanding balance is now R260, seeing as the payment as per the debt review court order was R252.15 and I elected to round the amount off to R260 and have been paying as such since June of 2015.

I had a Wonga account which I requested a balance for in August of 2015 and was given an amount of R772.95, Sept, Oct & Nov I made payments of R150 each and phoned again in December for a settlement amount, which I was informed telephonically to be R322 and paid it on the 19/12/2015, I emailed Consumer Friend requesting a paid up letter but never received one (in retrospect I should have hounded them for one). Yesterday I received an email from HTN Attorneys that the account has been handed over due to non payment with an outstanding amount of R544.02. How is this possible?

I was informed by an agent at Consumer Friend that they changed systems a few months ago and find is suspicious that suddenly two paid up accounts have been handed over after this system change.

Good day

We refer to the complaint and confirm a response concerning the RCS account has been issued to yourself on even date indicating that the final balance issued on 28 July 2017 was R698.80, however a payment of only R438.80 was effected on the same date which left the short fall of R260.00 in July 2017.

Our offices further confirm that we have ceased to administer Wonga matters since December 2016 and that all concerns relating to the creditor may be directed to their offices.

The relevant contact details have also been submitted in our response.

Best Regards
