Shady business
I had a load with Sanlam Personal Loans. When I app**** for debt review, my account was taken over by Consumer Friend. When I started making more money, I then decided to pay extra towards my loan.
On Friday (20 December 2019) I called Consumer Friend to ask them how much balance is in my account because my account should have been paid up in July 2019.
The consultant advised me that there is R10000 outstanding on my account. I immediately knew that was impossible so I then requested for a Statement.
I realised that Consumer reversed the R5100 payment that i made in December 2018 and they continued charging me 28% interest on the amount which includes R5100 after I made the payment.
Fast forward to July 2019, I made another payment of R3180. This was also reversed. Sanlam Personal Loans and Consumer Friend must sort this out because this account should be paid up and Consumer Friend must stop doing business by robbing people because I am now being charged interest on the amount I don't owe.
