Request for rectification of credit bureau Information on Woolworth account (***)

I've been under debt review for over a year, consistently making payments without missing any. My debt has been decreasing steadily only on consumer friend statement only, and I'm pleased with my progress. However, I'm experiencing an issue with the credit bureau information as they say not payment is done on my Woolworth's credit account while the account has been paid and furthermore i have been receiving sms from Woolworth which proves the account has been paid as per the court order.

Prior to debt review, my monthly payment was R2500, which was reduced to R1500 after the order was granted Which it indicates that outstanding amount of R100,000 with nore than R 30 000 in arrears, whereas Consumer Friend states I owe less R70,000 with no arrears. I humbly request that my account be rectified on the credit credit bureau or guided as o who can assist with this issue as this reflects negative information which affects me from getting rental accommodation.

Good day Ignetius M,

Thank you for your inquiry.
Please note the account is administered by our office in respect of the debt review process.
We confirm the restructure has been app**** to the account in accordance with Granted Court Order.

In terms of the credit bureau update, we advise Woolworths head office is obligated to report to the credit bureau in terms of contractual obligations on the account hence the negative information on your profile.
We assure you once your debt review is complete and a Form 19 - Clearance Certificate is attained, our office will facilitate and direct a credit bureau update request to head office to assist.

We advise the account will be updated with the correct status upon completion of debt review.
At present we confirm your account is still active within the process with an outstanding balance hence unable to assist with any updates in this regard.

Kind Regards
Maheshree
